Run
Comments: First half mile was a little interesting. A guy was intentionally blocking people (cutting in front of them everytime they tried to pass). Someone asked him to stop and he yelled that it was part of racing. He tried to do it to this fellow that was built like a tight-end and got hip checked for his efforts--he stopped blocking after that. Rest of the race was very uneventful. Felt pretty good and wanted to go faster, but I could not get my legs to turnover any quicker. What would you do differently?: Nothing during the race it was my second best 10k. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Have not really run in the last three weeks and have not done any speed work in the last six. Event comments: This race has started to go down hill. On the first loop, there was no-one manning the drink station. It was chipped timed but there was no timing mat at the start (it takes about 10-20 seconds to get 400 people across the start--but that was not reflected in the time). No t-shirts for day of registration (not that I really need another cotton t-shirt). Last updated: 2007-11-11 12:00 AM
