Comments: I felt pretty good. I decided to start out a little slower this time, but probably overcompensated, b/c I was at 7:52 at the one mile mark. I picked up my pace at that point and came into the second mile mark at around 15:20, then picked up again when I hit the 2 mile mark at the start of the path. approximate split paces: mile 1 7:52 mile 2 7:30 mile 3 7:20 I ended up getting 2nd of 37 in my AG (but 16th out of 142 women, overall). Kind of a surprise that the 30-somethings weren't more competitive, but it was a nice birthday present to get an AG award with my birthday engraved on it :) Little note: I raced the last couple of miles neck and neck with this adorable little boy. It turns out he was 9, but he looked like he was 5 or 6. This teeny kid was just unbelievable. It made the race so much more fun. What would you do differently?: Eventually, I'll get the whole pacing thing down, but overall I was pretty happy with how I ran today. Post race
