I have recently joined the Team in Training Program with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help raise research dollars and awareness. I have set my sights on joining the world of triathletes and doing my first triathlon in Memphis. Like many, my cycling base is good, my running base is building and I just got back in the pool for the first time in awhile. It sure feels good to be back in the pool though . I'm excited about beginning such a fun challenge and absolutely love reading everything you all have to share. Just thought I would say hello and introduce myself. Anyone training in the Evansville, IN area, drop me an email.

I love the TNT program. For many reasons, but one of the less altruistic ones is that my bike jersey (and the only one I have) happens to be their signature purple. I get SOOO MANY people cheering me!! (o: Just so you know the jersey was given to me, so I'm not trying to appropriate all that good cheer on purpose!! But it is sure helpful.

Of course, I haven't been rushing out to get a different one either.

Welcome!
Dana

I have done the Memphis in May triathlon a number of times and it is one of the best organized Tri out there. The staggard start is especially swim friendly. Only one problem. The start is age drven. By that I mean, they start with the youngest first and go to the oldest last. I have been doing Tri's for 20 years plus so that tells you where I start. If you want to be int the thick of things it's kind of hard to do if you are over 40 - even if you're competitive - unless you are classified as a pro.
