Winter Running Routes

Bonjour!

Forgive me, I'm a displaced Canadian currently in the US and my French has completely escaped me! I'm looking for some advice on some running routes in Quebec City.

I'll be visiting Quebec City from Dec 26 to Dec 29 and will be staying the Chateau Laurier Hotel at 1220, Place George-V Ouest. My training schedule has 3 runs over these days, two medium length runs (60-90 minutes) and 1 short run (30-45 minutes). Where is a good place for these runs? I don't need any big hills, and probably need a relatively flat course for my short work out (Fartleks). Are the streets and sidewalks safe to run on? Will pedestrians and motorist hate me?

And on a non-training note, what's the one thing I must do on my visit in order to fully appreciate the culture?
