Subject: Very bad pain in the back of the knee
After about 2 miles I get real bad pain in the back of the left knee to the point that bending the knee past the very slight range I run in causes very very bad pain I walk and slowly extend the range of motion of the knee working tru the bad pain then it is ok for a few more miles and I have to do it again.  It does not seem to be related to the side of the road I run on however tomarrow I will do my long run 20 miles on a road with little or no crown I will be interested to see what effect that has.  Any help on this?

I would see a doctor. If it gets to the point you cant move your knee much and it hurts to walk see a doctor. How do you do 20miles like this?

I did it in a great deal of pain walking nearly every mile to bend the knee back and forth thru its full range of motion then continuing
