Comments:

Paced off a 12yr old for the first 2 of the 3 laps, walked some and wondered why I wore cotton. Found a new rabbit, and sprinted the finish.
What would you do differently?:

Not wear a cotton T-Shirt, not run the day prior, and wear but repellent.

Warm down:

Walked to find family members also participating. Drank lots

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Can't single out an item, or items. Engine and willpower mostly, followed by the uncomfortable shirt, and the bugs.

Event comments:

Overall a good event. Lots of odd goodies at the finish, unclaimed prizes from their other events. Managed to win a Starbucks gift card for having the youngest participant in the group.

HA!  you had the 3 year old who won the starbucks gift card   we were there, I ran with my daughter and her friend...so jealous you won the starbucks!!  I have 2 no see em bites under each eye   Plus a gazillion all over, they were awful..but looks like you had a pretty good run.  Perhaps we'll meet up at a tri?

Perhaps.  I'm not sure the next time I'll be in FL tho.  May plan my next vacation around one.

I'll be enjoying my card on the roadtrip back home, and visiting the holy mother of the green bean frequently.
