  • Comments: What a great local small town race. I was totally shocked at the crowd support. Minus MCM and the Bridge Run in SC, the crowd support blew away any other races I have done. The course is in the boon docks and almost every family was out of the end of thier driveway cheering everyone on. In town, it was 2-3 deep in the entire length of town. One thing that I did underestimate was the quality of the field. I knew it was going to be good when I saw dozens of D1 and D2 college XC teams with their warmups on. The dude that won the race was a 5 time All American in XC and T&F and hopeful 2012 olympian. Great overall race!

  • Comments: This was the 98th running of this race and you could tell. It was organized and the crowd support was amazing! There were a lot of people standing at the end of their driveways cheering on the runners (with a beer in hand....probably a Genese....at 9am). There was a house on Main Street that had a keg on the front porch....they were wasted, but having the times of their lives cheering everyone on as they did the NYC Rockette's high kick! A great race that I'd do again!

  • Comments: great race. crowd support on a rainy thanksgiving morning was amazing. tons of residents out in their driveways drinking/cheering. really cool. one house had a full on party with kegs and music. theywere all loaded and singing/dancing as they cheered the runners by. i wanted to join them. it was the 97th running of the race and i would definitely do this race again.
