  • Comments: Good race. Since this was the goal race for the clinic I was teaching, it was important to get everyone through and finished. Everyone made their goals so I am a happy camper.

  • Comments: Great race! with that many people I thought for sure it would be really congested but with it setup in corrals according to predicted finish time it really flowed well and wasn't congested at all. Great entertainment along the course, thousands of people cheering and the volunteers were GREAT!

  • Comments: Great event and highly recommended - they bill the event as flat and fast and that certainly helped for my first one of these.

  • Comments: My first half-marathon on this course. Great event - -Race kit in recyclable bag -Bib is personalized with first name -Colour coded bibs for sub 2hr half-marathoners and sub 4hr marathoners and separate corral for these runners -4hr live race coverage on CBC -11,000+ runners -Perfect weather -Nice mostly flat course -Lots of people, volunteers, aid-stations, en route entertainment I'm 12th percentile in my AG. Was a minute ahead of PB pace halfway, but lost 2min last 5k, so ended up a minute off my PB 4yrs ago on a much faster downhill course. Overall, quite pleased and proud of my performance. Nice way to end the season. PS - Found out next day that the perfect weather resulted in a record breaking day. Kenyan male (who else?) won marathon, time was fastest on Cdn soil (2:09), breaking 1976 record. Ethiopian woman also broke course record (2:33), was on 2:25 pace, then died last 10K and lost 5min. So it happens to even the pros. The Toronto Waterfront Marathon is quickly

  • Comments: A bit of confusion with "Metro Convention Center" and "Metro Hall" for the bag check. I was a bit dissappointed that I was told "we don't have enough blankets for everyone" so I felt guilty taking one - yet, once I FINALLY got over to the food area, I was SO glad I had one!
