  • Comments: Glad I had a friend to mill around with afterwards. Apparently runners can have as much Coors Light as they wish after they finish! And other goodies too, of course. I just wish they had a few more port-a-potties at the start. It was a madhouse once there was less than 10 minutes until the start. They're probably limited on space, though. Great support along the route, great volunteers, great finish area. This'll definitely be an annual event for me.

  • Comments: This is the third time I've run this race and I really enjoy it. The event is really well organized and the course is fun. There's just something about standing on the dam at the start and being able to see the finish 12 miles away and knowing that's where you're heading.

  • Comments: I can't believe this race has doubled in size since I last ran it four years ago. It's still well run and I liked the slight course change and the finish area is much better than before. First race this year where I've been really pleased with the result. It was a 4.5 minute PR for me and nice to finally see some payoff with the high training volume. Now I just need to get to work the next 18 weeks so that pace feels easy in Chicago

  • Comments: Free pulled pork sandwiches, gatorade, and coors light as well as the Downtown Farmer's Market. The only thing that would make this post race better would be a smaller feild. 6800 is a lot of people-- not including the farmer's market crowd.

  • Comments: almost 10 minutes late starting, may have been because of the weather. Would have been nice to have someplace to stay dry at the start for the hour and a half before the race when it was pouring out

  • Comments: Only problem I had with the race was the busing out to Saylorville Dam. They didnt start busing til around 5:15. I was there around 5:30 and didnt get on a bus til 5:55 and there were still around 1000 people waiting. There was no way all got to the start by 7. They need to get more buses or bus earlier to get people there before the start. Seemed like a poor organization for the amount of people running. Other than that it was a good run, well organized, fun people, and will do again

  • Comments: Obviously the largest 20K race in america is very well organized. Tons of volunteers, tons of aid stations. Loved the entertainment along the route and at the finish. I will definitely be doing this race for many years to come.
