  • Comments: This was a good race. Lots of families. A couple of kids' teams placed well, which was cool. Lots of post-race food for everybody. Lots of prizes given out.

  • Comments: They go five-deep for the podium in this race, so I managed to nab the last spot. Pretty happy to make the podium since the top three guys in my AG are real fast - like top ten overall age-grouper fast. The race and awards were much better organized this year - fun event and course.

  • Comments: Took 1st in my AG, Clydesdale Masters, and was 5th overall 50-54 AG. This was the USAT Pacific Northwest Regional Sprint Tri championship with a lot of people from all over this region so I was very happy with the result. Very well run race with the exception of the awards...took way too long and disorganized. Next race will be the USAT Pacific Northwest AG Championships at the CDA Olympic race. We'll see how things go on a longer, much hillier course.

  • Comments: Fun race, the river swim was pretty awesome. I always wish the swim was longer.

  • Comments: If they can change the bike course to eliminate the rough rode on Seltice, this would be an excellent course.

  • Comments: Very good race organization for the inaugural race. It was well attended by both participants and spectators. Of course, Coeur D'Alene is kind of a triathlon town so that's not surprising. The race was well organized, with lots of helpful volunteers. I had thought I was second in my AG but when the awards were announced I had actually won the "Over 40 Fat Man's Division." The guy listed ahead of me had accidently started a wave too soon so his listed time was 10 minutes too fast. Nice surprise. All that really means though is there weren't very many over-40 Clydesdales doing the race...and the ones who did must have had an off day if I beat them!
