  • Comments: Excellent race for a beginner. I was a little disappointed on the after-race event but I am spoiled by the Prouty! But, I have caught the bug and am doing my next sprint tri in a few weeks.

  • Comments: I think it's great that the Danskin triathlons encourage a lot of people who've never done triathlons before to train and compete. And I know it's really hard to wrangle 3300 people in any situation. However, I really wish there had been more done, in addition to optional seminars, to get people to keep to the right if they were walking their bikes or walking in the run. In addition to being annoying, it's also dangerous. Maybe having volunteers on the hill on the bike route and on the run route telling people to stay to the right would have helped.

  • Comments: This race is great for the racers but really sucks for the spectators. For an event with so many "GO MOMMY" signs there is nothing for the kids to do. also the transitions and such are all in different places so they have to walk a lot ot get to the different points if they want to see you. My husband lugging 3 kids around didn't appreciate that very much.

  • Comments: Very unorganized and no USAT rules followed, made the bike difficult, a lot of blocking and crossing the yellow line. Also they should limit participation or make a 2 day event out of it. There were too many people for a short course.

  • Comments: A good, solid, fun race for beginners, and challenging enough for some who do a few.

  • Comments: Initially on getting to the race course there were only two body markers for 2500 plus women that showed up. They eventually got more, but it was a little frustrating at first. I think I would have had even more portalets. Can you ever have enough? I really believe they should have a "things you really should know" for all the first timers - this event is HUGE for first timers, looked like 90% were newbies, and it was frustrating to see people stop in the middle of the road, (you ARE going to get hit in the middle of the road) see women riding the yellow line, and not moving over when you shouted, on you're left. For safety reasons, I think this would have been important. It wasn't a closed course. There were lots of volunteers on the courses, which was impressive. Swim angels for the swim course! I had heard bad things about parking at Danskin events, but that was not the case here, parking was okay. After the event, I was thrilled to have watermelon as a food

  • Comments: I know my overall time, and since my swim time was the only good time for me we'll just stick with the overall time. My goal was to do a race since I haven't done any in 4 years and just get back into things. I'm happy my in-laws could be there to watch, and I was able to do a Danskin event. No land speed records by any means, but at least I have a baseline to work from for this year and it won't be 4 years again that I'll take off from tris. Not bad for a Sunday morning.

  • Comments: I like this race. I love to see other women get excited about fitness and triathlons. Talked with people from NJ, Maine and CT. It was nice to see first timers finish.I live close to the race site and plan on doing it every year!
