  • Comments: Only suggestion for this race is a bit better traffic control,bike rule enforcement, mile markers. It's a beautiful venue and well run..and for a good cause.This was a sweet season finale race for me- a perfect day and great company..It is all good and yes, well deserving of a Happy Dance for sure!

  • Comments: Still one of my favorite races even though I crash my bike and hit by cars. This was my fifth year here and plan on coming back every year.

  • Comments: everything good to say about this race. venue is superb. after race cookout was real fun. course fees (steep!! $75) help out the 'myelin' research. miles were marke on run course. all good.

  • Comments: This was a fun race and I will probably be back again next year. The volunteers were great and the race packet is nice. As noted in my report, I do feel that certain safety issues need to be addressed, especially since this race is growing in size every year. Specifically: More kayaks on swim Better traffic control on the bike Distribution/explanation of passing and drafting rules, with bike numbers and race officiating.

  • Comments: One reason I wanted to do this race was to get over the "firsts" of an ocean swim, and using a wetsuit- BEFORE next season.Late season - lots going on so only signed up a few days before- thanks really to Rob & Kathy's plan to do the race. Didn't have lofty goals because of the need to overcome the swim stuff- but was a bit disappointed in times- BUT- Beautiful day, nice course, and end of season race with great support from BTers Had really NO idea where I was time or place wise at end so was a kick to be 1st in AG - rendezvous w/ BT crew- Life is good!

  • Comments: Discovered that cleaning out bits of asphalt from under one's skin sucks, but I think I got it all. I am a little disappointed with my results compared to the field and am curious what the difference would have been without my bike problems.

  • Comments: This is a beautiful race and I thought they did a great job on organization considering the event was much larger than usual. The bike and run courses were very scenic. I am not I will be back because of the saltwater but we will see. It was great to meet with so many BT'ers, it makes the events so much more enjoyable
