  • Comments: Great beginners course. Brutal hill at the end of the Bike. Race results were posted during the Post Race Activites. Will definitely try to better my time in November.

  • Comments: I missed my goal by 5 minutes, so that was a bit of a drag. But I feel like I learned from the race and had a lot of fun doing it. And the most important thing is that my left foot (heel and ball) feels great. Going into my last race my heel was bothering me and after the race the ball of my foot hurt too, everything is perfect right now. I'm really glad that I can get back to training next week. Had my mom there as well as my wife and kids so it was an awesome family day. I am very proud to have completed my third triathlon, can't wait for my next one.

  • Comments: Well, I thought they did a phenomenal job for a 1st year (okay, I know it used to be around back in the day, but it was on hiatus) race that was so small. I was glad that they had the transition mat down at the water and that we didn't have to safety pin the numbers to our wetsuits. I loved that they kept it organized and on schedule. The bike course was well marked and well-manned.....I felt safe the entire time and really enjoyed it. Even the t-shirts were rockin' -- whoever did the graphics was awesome. I loved that they still did the awards even though there weren't that many in the age groups....for some of us, it'll be our only shot at the podium this year! :) And the post-race cookout with the Guns n' Roses blaring was just plain fun. I would certainly do this race again-- I felt like they did a really good job and it was a blast.
