  • Comments: Well a good race indeed, but I could've done better. I was fairly pleased with my time considering the heat but you know if you don't have pain the day after a race then you didn't try hard enough. I got a massage yesterday when I got back to Chicago, but it was totally unnecessary. Time to put on the big boy shorts and actually try to tri. Haha try to tri. I know I could've PRd this race if I would've put forth more effort on the bike and run, and not spent 10 minutes in transitions. Overall a fun race. Lotsa hot pace booty and lotsa hot weather and a good course. Oh yeah! I apparently, because of a goofy finisher's photo, am the poster child for the Capital of Texas Triathlon. You know where you go to look up your photos? Yeah ... they used my finisher's photo on that front page. As my friend Pete said `I always wondered what happened to Corky after they canceled `Life Goes On,' now I know.' http://www.asiorders.com/view_event.asp?EVENTID=46372

  • Comments: Between the lack of info about swim waves(not to mention how late my wave was), the massive transition area, & the price of the race, I doubt I'll be coming back to this event next year. Either that or I'll wait until the wave info is posted and lie about my AG. I'm not competing for any hardware, wtf does it matter?

  • Comments: Kind of a mess after the race trying to get back to the transition area and get the bikes out. Overall I was pleased with my first Olympic race. I wanted to do it in under 3 hours which I accomplished and I know that I can get that time down by a good 15 minutes if I can just run the whole run portion rather than walking so much of it.

  • Comments: Event was disorganized from the website to the walk out. Web had conflicting race information. Late start and post race exit plan was pitiful. Food was good.

  • Comments: I've only done this race 2 years now but it has yet to start on time. The website was never up to date and had multiple versions of wave times. The venue is absolutely great but it comes with a price. The bike course is brutally packed and they really need to have some marshalls out there as everyone rides to the left, and you already know about people passing on the right. I doubt I'll be doing this race next year as I'm not sure I'll be fully recovered from IM St George. I'm hoping I'll need to be getting fully recovered after St George so that I can get ready for another IM in October. :-)

  • Comments: The race direction and organization is not the best, the website sucks. the aid stations and volunteers were not well stocked. The T-Shirt was OK but the bootleg water bottle was a piece of shit. Perhaps they have finally run out of them.

  • Comments: This is a good race--it is a BIG race. I liked the run course, not fond of the 4 loops on the bike, but not too bad. The swim is a good swim, except for swimming into the sun sucked, but no biggie. The thing I dislike about races on Auditorium Shores are the HUGE transitions and the LONG transition runs. Oh well--otherwise, it was good schwag, "okay" expo, and a beautiful day to race. This brings out a good, solid, competitive crowd, and they handled it all well. I'll be back, and I'll be faster! :)

  • Comments: I used to love this race because of the venue. I think the new RD was more interested in how many people can he get to sign up rather than focusing on quality. I'll probably pass next year. Triple T is the same weekend. I would love to do that one again.

  • Comments: Hated doing laps for the bike. It was too crowded, especially for the amount of turns, and it was confusing.
