  • Comments: There were not nearly enough 'food' aid stations. There was only 1 gel station and that was at the mile 7 mark. That sucked if you weren't prepared!

  • Comments: The course was good, but I liked it better last year... too many turns at the north end of the Strip. But going all the way up to Freemont St. was kinda cool.

  • Comments: Rock-n-Roll events can be a bit crowded but they are a blast, well organized and bring a lot of people together which offers some great opportunities to meet fellow runners and talk sh*t.

  • Comments: Can't beat this race. It was just SOOOO much fun, and again, I was never bored. I'm so happy I picked to do a Rock and Roll. Everything was great! Expo was excellent! So much to see! Should have gone one day earlier! Perfect way to close my season. Will rest up for a little bit, do a few runs here and there, then off season starts...is there one? LOL! I think I've reached my limit of half-marathon. Maybe later I'll do a marathon when I got better training regime!

  • Comments: Obviously the Rock 'n' Roll series knows how to put on a great event and a great party! A huge race, but so much fun. A bit of advice to anyone thinking about it: block off most of the day before and reserve it for RESTING YOUR FEET! It's way too easy to get caught up in "Vegas" and inadvertently walk miles and miles and miles the days before. Save the sightseeing and such for the days after the race. Lesson learned.

  • Comments: With a total of over 29,000 runners the event was unbelievably smooth! It was so much fun and I'd totally do it again! Loved every minute of it!

  • Comments: Pics... #1 Becky and me with my cousin Chris and his wife Steph (that met us out Friday night)... #2 - Me, Becky, Holly, Scott, Terri and Clint going out for dinner and to see 'O' on Saturday night... #3 - Terri, Me and Scott post race... #4 - Clint coming into the finish of the marathon... #5 - Becky winning big with a 'blackjack' on Sunday... AWESOME TIME IN VEGAS...!!! Thanks to the Weningers and Schmeisers for a great and memorable trip...!!!

  • Comments: Good race. I heard others complain about the organization, but I thought everything went well. I will definately stay at the host hotel if I do this in the future, as transportation before and after the race was a shitshow.

  • Comments: This was a well organized race, however you can tell they haven't run this event for years. I hope next year they include a map of the start/finish area. Also, the bathrooms at the start/finish were great, however at the middle of the course, there were 1-2 port-a-potties spaced between miles which was definitely not sufficient.

  • Comments: Negatives: Poorly placed mile markers, sparse water stations, terrible start area organization, inefficient bib pickup process, cheap and unremarkable t-shirt, insufficient quantity of finish-line food ... Positives: It's an excuse to go to Vegas if you are looking for one. Weather was nice but a little windy. Overall, this was the worst organized event that I have ever done, which is baffling because it is the ONLY one that I have done that had a professional event management company running it! I swear the triathlons I have done that used all volunteer labor were better organized than this. I expected way more for my $85, and I doubt will go out of my way to do this one again.
