  • Comments: This was better than last year. I'll give it to Moment Cycle Sport (my LBS!) in doing a top notch job. Packet pick could be improved some, but the race itself was on time, organized, course marked better than last year and secured better than last year, decent post-race food choices (fruit, bagels, several varieties of pizza), and a free beer/wine garden for EVERYONE not just racers--just had to show ID. So thanks to Stone Brewery and Barefoot wines, it made it nice and I got to chat with some fellow racers. Their awards are nice, handcrafted, and unique. You get two shirts, and they are high quality--I think the race shirt this year is one of the best I've ever had. Awesome design, comfortable, and classy. Not a huge fan of the actual bike course--but they use what they can and you do get some good views. Just too many turns for my liking. But, that's personal. Great race execution by Moment! Fun race--and on a Saturday, which is nice!

  • Comments: This was really a great race from the course, logistics, swag to organization. Definitely would recommend it for others to do. I was really torn about weather or not I should have even done the run portion after DNFing the bike. I realize that by doing the run I might affect others in my AG who might run differently based me being there. I didn't think about it at the time but accepting a medal at the end is direspectful to others who an Olympic distance is a huge accomplishment. I emailed the organized and told them to DNF me because I had not completed the bike course.

  • Comments: I thought the USAT referee did a pretty good job overseeing the bike course. He passed by several times on his motorcycle. The volunteers all did a great job, especially in regards to dealing with car traffic during the bike portion. The perks were also cool like the complimentary beer and wine, food, etc.

  • Comments: Very organized race. This was probably one of the nicest transition areas I have ever seen! Lots of room for everyone! The course was very well marked and there were tons of volunteers pointing the right direction and cheering you on. I will definitely race this event again.

  • Comments: Very well organized race. Good food although I didn't eat much of it. There was apparentley a beer garden and wine but I didn't partake. After my post race run, I checked the results and packed up my gear to head home for the 45 minute drive. 104 out of 244 women from what I can tell.

  • Comments: Need to work on swimming faster and having energy for the run. Felt pace was ok for the swim. Didn't push real hard. Happy with bike. Run was 3 - 4 min. slower than goal. Transitions were ok, but based on other peoples time, could have done better.

  • Comments: I really felt bad about the swim. Definitely wasn't expecting it to be as hard as it was for me considering I felt most confident in that area during training. I think not doing any outdoor swims counted against me. The bike was my favorite, and I knew it was going to be that way, considering I did 98% of my bike training outdoors. The run was tough too. Lots of people were passing me, but I just couldn't seem to make my legs go any faster. That was tough for me. It was an average race. I wish I would have done better in hindsight, but I think that's just my competitive spirit in me. :)
