  • Comments: Rev3 is the real deal. If you haven't had the pleasure of doing a Rev3 event yet, I highly recommend it. I assume it's even better if you have children, as there is tons of stuff for them to do.

  • Comments: I enjoyed the course although I did not realize how hilly the bike ride was. That was a real rude awakening to weight loss.

  • Comments: They will not return emails regarding questions. I waited 6 months and have emailed at least 3 different people. Todd answered a pre race question within 24 hours and post race will not. They state that they would give water bottles and towels but they did not. Cool shirts for finishing. They advertised that family and friends would have the best tracking of athletes, but in reality it was not close to ironman timing and they will not post times. If they will not communicate, lie on their claims of what every athlete gets, and generally do not care about middle or back of the pack athletes this potentially great race will not survive. I will never spend this kind of money on one of their races without some big time improvement.

  • Comments: If the race served hamburgers instead of deli-sandwhiches, it would have gotten a 5. It was great meeting all of the BT'ers at the expo. It's soo cool putting faces to usernames. Full race evaluation: http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp...

  • Comments: Rev3 did an excellent job with this race. I wouldn't change much. The bike course was tough but then maybe I am a wuss. Racing with some top name pros was cool. I can't play ball with Peyton or LeBron but I can do a race in Knoxville with Reed and Lieto. I will probably do it again next year the Lord willin' and the creeks don't rise.

  • Comments: If you have not done a REV race try to get to one they really put on a geat race. The smallish feild for the olympic was a bit dissapointing but all the Pro's made it really cool.

  • Comments: A perfect race. Rev3 puts on a show....they do. I'd recommend a Rev3 event to anyone. Best.Race.Ever. Also completely thankful to meet some BT'ers I've known on the online but not had a chance to catch up with...Bear, Dylan, Emily, Tony, Chris, David, the other David, and some ohthers. And it was fantastic to catch up with BT'ers I've known forever but don't catch up with in person nearly enough...Dollar, Jess, Ron, Mike, Mila. Finally, I spent amazing time with new folks...Jordan Rapp and Herbert Krabel from ST, Heather Golllnick, Big Matty Reid, Natasha Badmann, and a thousand other great folks, all of whom took their time to make the event a perfect race. And when I say perfect, I mean perfect. Rev3 is the standard. Thanks for an amazing event, everyone. Can't wait for the next one. :)

  • Comments: Despite me having to demonstrate why you need to have a closed course on a narrow 2 lane country road, I thought this was a well done race. Good expo, got to meet and hang out with BTers and pros alike. Nice course. I heards there were some timing issues but they were either fixed when I checked them. No ranking for the bike and run only real time position, ala Ironman's system. *** Photo credit goes to Eric Willis*****

  • Comments: Rev3... get your Trakkers units working and smaller... enforce the rules you preach, and get a better post race meal. Otherwise, great race.

  • Comments: The Rev3 organization did a great job with this event. It was a wonderful venue with a challenging course. The atmosphere at the event was like a festival and there was always something going on. We athletes were given many perks and our families had plenty to do and see. It was a relatively expensive race, but you do get a lot in return.

  • Comments: Very cool to meet all the BT folks at the house and a few others there. I think a good first try for the Knoxville Rev, some improvements could be made but all and all a pretty good race.

  • Comments: Loved this event, absolutely loved it. And the word is "Event" not "Race". They do everything incredibly well. Expo entertainment, great activities for the kids, assigned transition spaced labeled with your name, incredibly well marked courses, nice race swag (headsweats visor, quality cotton t-shirt and a good long sleeve tech finisher's shirt), a large pro field most of whom are very approachable (Kelly Williamson is my new favorite female pro), computer workstations to look up your results on large hi def screens, the list goes on. The only way they can improve it in my mind would be to upgrade the post race food a bit. Replace the dry turkey or ham sandwich with burgers or hot dogs maybe. How's that for being picky? Other than that I just can't think of anything else they could do to improve this race. *Edited after the fact: the race results page is really confusing. It needs to be redone to make things like standings and overall times for each leg clearer. That's generally an athletes
