  • Comments: I contacted the race director and he is comping me entry into another of their races due to the mismarking on the run course. I realize there should have been a volunteer on the corner, but it was a pretty big mistake. About 12 athletes were affected by this mistake, and lots of people took spots on the podium from those like me that ran an extra mile.

  • Comments: Overall, I enjoyed the race. As with everything in life, there is always room for improvement. So, here are my suggestions: 1. The organizers setup the pre-race announcements / music in the tranistion area which was a fair distance from the swim start. As many of us in the early waves left the transition area to get ready for the swim, we didn't hear any of the announcements or national anthem. Next year, I would move the speaker to the finish line area and have all of the athletes gather there (it was also close to the swim start). 2. The start of the run was downright dangerous. After leaving T2, sprint runners had to cross a reasonably busy road. There was a cop and volunteer there to stop traffic from one direction. However, we were told to simply "cross the road when safe." Many runners stayed to the right for a long time and then ran across the road. This could have been resolved by having another set of cops / volunteers stopping traffic from the other side. 3. At the

  • Comments: Good race. Potties ran out of paper early on. NO POINTER AT FIRST LEFT TURN ON RUN?!? I volunteered there last year and knew the turn was there and had a couple of folks out in front of me who took the correct turn. How could you guys have missed that from a staffing perspective? Otherwise bike and run turns and crossings OK (bike better than run).

  • Comments: A fantastic race. Fun all around and a great vibe. Easily on par with the Cranberry Tri Fest.

  • Comments: the swim start was fine - a couple of minutes late but that was fine with me. The bike course was great; traffic was backed up as I returned to the park so that slowed me down. The run is where the race fell apart for me, I could have VERY easily missed the first turn! There wasn't a volunteer or paint on the street like there was for the bike. Then as I was approaching the 'mile 2' sign a race person packed it up... I was like "ok, should i pack it up, too? did i miss the cut off!?" I wasn't last but I sure felt bad about my speed for a minute. I chalk it up to the 'inaugural race' but hope it improves for the future.
