  • Comments: Good race, the Lake is the best part of it. The bike is not pleasant due to all the road seams every 10yds!.. and the run is rather plain and nowhere to hide from the sun.

  • Comments: Enjoyed this race except for a few things, most of which are out of setup events control: Smell of pig $hit everywhere and again, hot run course. Wish they moved the run to go the other way around the lake to avoid running on 701. This seems like a simple change which would give us more room to run and less traffic. Everything was well organised, on time and as advertised. Good post race food and drink as usual.

  • Comments: I really did enjoy this race. The lead-up was nice too, staying 2 blocks away on Azalea, dining in E-town Friday night (awesome spaghetti), chilling on the porch with Paul downing a brew or two Friday night (discussing his plans for Bridge to Bridge next weekend, and IMWI next year!!) Awesome to see Mark Swan down there volunteering (way to go Mark!) at chip pickup, then to see him at run out/in and chat afterwards.

  • Comments: The race was great. The worst thing was that the route is used by a lot of trucks carrying livestock which smells like decomposing carrion! God it was awful! Despite all the minor issues and not coming close to breaking 3 hours, I still beat my time from last year by 12:17! Very happy with that. Oh yeah, I had lots or irratation under my arms from my wetsuit. Not enough body glide. The water after the race stung like a ^%@$@*!
