  • Comments: I will comment that the race was on time for me... I am hearing that later waves were not out anywhere near to on time and that would make sense since I didn't see a single Short Course runner on the course while I was running! Everything went very well for me. (My wife's timing was all messed up, they had her in the water for 8:41:23 - she would have had to have started a little after midnight)

  • Comments: This is a super fun race to do if you are looking for a triathlon in the Upper Midwest. The number of racers and spectators is just amazing. Be prepared for a ton of people on the race course.

  • Comments: Extremely pleased with first race. Last half-mile on run was priceless. Training volume was right on. I'm going to slaughter this time next year.

  • Comments: Very well organized. Got some really nice bling too - run shirt and cap. They had a great situation for spectators and racers. Bleachers and stairs for spectators to walk over the racers.

  • Comments: Great race. Challenging course, great environment, great volunteers, and great extras such as food and drinks, etc. I recommend it to anyone who is willing to pay the $125, and I think it's the type of race that can really hook someone on tri's.

  • Comments: I definitely don't like TA closing so long before race start but I understand in a race this big they have little choice. I guess I'm not a fan of huge races like this one based on my still limited experience. I may do Lifetime again but it's not a race I plan on doing every year.

  • Comments: I have to do it next year to prove i am better than a 3hr olympic in a clydesdale division. I will smash my time.

  • Comments: i'd do it again... but I am ready for another oly race honestly.. its pricey.. and I want to try other ones.. I think I can do 3 for the price of this one ..if I stick to local races.. i had some troubles getting around yesterday.. the pain in my right knee/leg was pretty severe.. but today (2 days later) it feels more like a simple scrap with just the skin bothering me... the stairs still bug me.. I will try a swim out tomorrow..

  • Comments: Not sure I'd go this again because of the drive. If it was closer for sure but driving home on Saturday afternoon wasn't fun at all. I was on the road by 12:30 and at my parents house by 7pm to drop off dads truck. I stayed the night cause they just got a puppy and I didn't want to sit in a car any longer.

  • Comments: Aside from cost, this is a great race. The atmosphere's awesome with the top pros racing and 2500 some odd amateurs competing as well. The race runs like a well oiled machine and the 1300 volunteers were wonderful. If you don't mind paying $125 for a race, I'd HIGHLY recommend this one.

  • Comments: This was my first triathlon and it was unbelievable. In a long time I have not felt this free and relaxed. I was out there doing something that I had not experienced in a long time. To be able to push your body to the limit of wanting to quit and not doing it was an accomplishment in itself.
