  • Comments: In the downpour and hard rain, many spectators along the course as if it were a sunny day. THE volunteers were outstanding and the course is awesome. This is probably my favorite marathon and it's easy to see why it fills up every year

  • Comments: Excellent race... they aren't kidding with the 'beautiful downtown' but even moreso.. the amount of cheering, music and general entertaining along this route was amazing... never seen it that festive.. especially given the fact that is rained ..not just rained.. but POURED cats and dogs for most of the race.. awsome !!

  • Comments: This race was definitely humbling for me. I am happy that I recognized that I needed to back off in order to stay in the race. In hindsight, not making my goal time was one of the least traumatic things that could have happened in conditions like that. Volunteers and spectators were great. The course itself was beautiful and fun, and I hope I get a chance to redeem myself in cooler weather next year!

  • Comments: Completed my first Marathon! Yeah!!! Other than a bit of a disappointment with my time (4:30 goal) and lingering pains in my ankles ( high sprains, stress fractures...?) Anyway, I finished so I really can't complain. The race was a hoot, the volunteers wonderful, and the event organization exceptional. Lord willing, I will be back!

  • Comments: The organization of this race is 2nd to none! Crowd support is beyond description. If you're a marathoner in the midwest you should definitely try it.
