  • Comments: This is an awesome race. If anyone is ever thinking about coming to the Twin Cities to do this race, don't think twice. Just do it. Tons of volunteers. And the people of the Cities turn out amazingly. I never had a minute where I didn't have someone cheering for me.

  • Comments: I'm glad I went. I had a good time with family and I still finished another marathon even if it was miserable! Signs were great as usual. I saw two girls wearing shirts that said, "Run like the Hunger Games just started!" on the back. Then there was a guy running barefoot and the back of his shirt said, "Be happy, last time I forgot my shorts!"

  • Comments: This is a great race, certainly ought to be on everyone's list of must-do marathons in the US. If you're looking for your 50 states or whatever then come do this one! Super organized (31 years running), tons of volunteers and you're never anywhere on the course without crowd support. Literally, you can't run more than 30 feet without fans cheering.

  • Comments: Some of the volunteers where handing out banana halves and orange slices at various parts of the race. It was so nice to have something else in my stomach besides gels and chews. I had to laugh at some of the different signs that people came up with. Some of my faviorate were: 26.2 miles? I thought you said 2.62 miles! A guy dancing around in a pink cardboard computer with writing on the screen: C://26.2 miles….. Does not compute… Does not compute… Does not compute… Your almost there….well not really! Marathon is for the insane, that’s why I’m standing here! I loved how the water/fluid stations were organized. Each station was comprised of six tables; three for Poweraid and three for water. At each table there was on volunteer on the outside filling cups, a second volunteer was on the other side and handing cups to a third volunteer who in turn handed the cups to the runners. The end result was that no one had to wait at any station for the drink of their choice.

  • Comments: My biggest complaint that wasn't in my control, was that I didn't get the finishers shirt in my size. I know this happens a lot in smaller races, but come on Twin Cities in Motion! I paid a lot of money, and I made the 6:15:00 cut off time and I registered MONTHS in advance with my size of shirt requested. How is it possible that it wasn't available to me if you take the tags off peoples bibs and give them the size that they ordered that you wouldn't have enough? Urgh - I know it's dumb, but after running that long and so much pain, I was irked.

  • Comments: This is a fantastic race and is extremely well-organized. I think I am spoiled now. There didn't seem to be a single step of this course that didn't have spectators. In many places the spectators were lining both sides of the road. The signs were funny and inspiring. The volunteers were plentiful and fantastic.

  • Comments: I wish I could give this course its due by properly describing what it felt like to first run through downtown Minneapolis and then transition to running along the many lakes and through all the trees with their changing colors. The course is beautiful and the weather was cool, but not cold once you start running, which for me is about perfect.
