  • Comments: This year I learned about proper pacing and about what I want to do vs. what I can actually do. As much as I may want to go faster, I need to listen to my body and stick with the pacing that feels right.

  • Comments: Love this race. Witht he flat course it is easy to run yet challenging because of the distance. That afternoon my foot was feeling funny and I realized that I had a blisted the size of a quarter on the bottom of my right foot just behind the second toe. I thought I felt it coming on this week but I guess the race just finished it off.

  • Comments: The Indy Mini is an event worth attending. They have so many volunteers along the way and so many people cheering that the race goes by in no time.

  • Comments: This is a very well run event. With over 40,000 participants, the event is incredibly organized.

  • Comments: Post-Race Party was great with multiple live bands & huge screen TV with live local coverage of the race. Too bad some rain moved in to dampen the crowd a bit. Overall I'm happy with my 1st HM performance. Beat my 2hr goal & with solid neg split (1:01:09 vs 56:04). Had fun, but I know there's a better time left in these middle-age legs.

  • Comments: This crew knows how to run an efficient and flawless race! The packet pickup was amazing and the gear check was remarkable! They really thought every detail through... except the choice of route. I thought they could pick wider and nicer roads to run on. Lots of gravel, broken roads, and narrow paths.

  • Comments: Ran very well for such a large race. I was in "preferred" seeding, but was worried that there would be too many varied times near me, but it wasn't too bad. I had to do a little bit of short sprinting and dodging early on, although the crowd at the beginning probably helped me keep from going out way too fast. Everything went great. Top 18% overall, top 35% M25-29.

  • Comments: Personally for me the highlight was running on the Indy speedway. However, with a race crowd of 35,000 the race was crowded the entire run.

  • Comments: The race was excellent, well attended, staffed, and funded. I will definitely return to this race course again with hopes to score much better through better preparation and better decision making.
