  • Comments: Overall, I am glad that I found it in myself to finish the triathlon and have to keep reminding myself of that accomplishment despite not meeting my goals for this year of running or beating my time from last year. There's always next year. HR was still a bit high even a couple of hours after finishing. I am pretty sure that using my inhaler a couple of times did alter my heart rate a bit.

  • Comments: I wanted to improve over my times from last year and I did. With more training and the Tri bike I shaved 18 min off my time. If I can fix my T1 time I'll shave a few more off next year. The volunteers and staff were great, I look forward to doing this race again next year.

  • Comments: What can you say for a race that has 2000 or some competitors. Larry and Michelle do an absolutely great job plus it's 5 minutes from my house! Already can't wait until next year.

  • Comments: This is my first tri - Get off the couch in January and started walking, began running with 4 x 2 minute run (struggle) and losing 60 pounds in order to complete a tri before I turned 50. Pre-race week was not good. Had bike issues so, had to switch back to my '86 Raleigh Technium which I had not ridden for several weeks. Went to the LBS to pick up a bike for my son who was visiting from California. About an hour away from home, car breaks down about a mile from the entrance to the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel. Whew! Spent an hour an half on the side of the road waiting for the tow truck and my wife to rescue. I think standing on the side of the road and missing lunch played a factor. This was a great first tri for me. My oldest son came from California and did the Olympic. He was the inspiration for me to want to do this. I really enjoyed watching him race, and thought the triathlets were really nice people, so I wanted to do this someday too. My middle son did his first tri,

  • Comments: A great job by CGI in organizing this race... the post-race food options were a little underwhelming, but that's a minor complaint. (I guess I was spoiled by the variety of food at the Philly event in June) A great race overall and I'm looking forward to coming back again next year.

  • Comments: I had a lot of fun. The post-race feeling was more exhilarating than my 5k run last September which was sort of anticlimactic. I think because I had never done all the distances of all the sports together, so there was an immediate sense of accomplishment.

  • Comments: Best part of the race for me was watching an Olympic competitor run up the swim area to transition, while cradling his son in his arms. His son looked to be 6-7 years old, and obviously with impaired physical abilities. It darn near brought tears to my eyes - what a great dad! Kristin...4th place!!!?? You go, girl!
