  • Comments: From mile 3 on the mile markers were off pretty bad. They had my 10k time at 45:20. Hah! I wish.

  • Comments: Instead of getting shirts and medals at the finish line, we only got medals. To get shirts, we had to fight through a very unorganized crowd then fight the same crowd to get out of the fenced area. Seemed this could have really been better planned. Plenty of waterstops and spectators along the course pumping the runners. Great atmosphere.

  • Comments: I was really shocked how much support there was in the Birmingham community...that impressed me. I found the location of aid stations a bit odd. I would like to see them ever mile...I never really knew when the next one would appear. However, they were fully staffed with PLENTY of volunteers. I liked this race and might make it a staple in my training.

  • Comments: This course was a challenge. The race was ran very well and there were tons of spectators and supporters on the course. Also there is a chance to win a Mercedes SUV at the awards ceramony. I will do this race again next year.

  • Comments: They cut back on water stops. The finish chute was too congested!! Spread the finish photo booth and T-shirt pickup out some.

  • Comments: I had a lot of fun with this race, even though I showed up feeling like I had not studied for a tough final exam (you know that feeling, right?). I'm hoping that the course doesn't change for next year, because I'd like to do it again and compare my times.
