  • Overall course based on my ability:

  • Comments: The course was very fun and fast. One big swim loop and the bike had fresh, smooth pavement. The run course was okay - probably not the best run course I've done, but still pretty good. Post race meal of chili and bun was good - but certainly not worth the $20 they wanted to charge for spectators. They also didn't post Olympic results until after noon so I had to wait around a couple hours just to see how I did. I would do the race again next year.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too hard

  • Comments: Great location, great volunteers. Based on my swim performance, a bit past my current capabilities, excellent fit for my friends that I train with and participated here.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: Overall, a great race. The race happened on-time, but the pre race meeting was late. I had my wife and 2 kids under 3 with me and we wanted to get the info and get out of there. This was a bit annoying. Escaping from the course was not that easy, but it was understandable due to the quality of the run segment. Wife said being a spectator was difficult (with a stroller). This could be our fault (not knowing the course, and new to the sport).

  • Comments: I think being so sick this past month affected my abilities quite a bit. I missed a ton of practices because of this. Overall I am pretty happy since this was my first olympic distance triathlon!! I am just a bit disappointed in my run (not so much on the time as I am happy with 56min but more disappointed in how I felt - sore and mentally defeated).

  • Comments: I think I further established that undertrained/overfed is not the best condition to race in but I did even worse than I thought I would relative to the rest of the geezers I was up against. This is always a good race in a scenic venue with a very good turnout of contestants. The weather seems to always cooperate as well.

  • Comments: Overall, I had a great time at this race and I look forward to doing it again next year. Beautiful day, beautiful surroundings!! I'm happy with my results given it was my first olympic distance and first open water swim. I am frustrated by the cramping though. I figure I lost about 10 minutes on my swim.

  • Comments: Will be back next year; fit and ready to go in the Olympic event. Charlie runs a pretty tight ship at this popular arce. They have superb post-race grub and liquage! Steve King is quite the race announcer. This is the first time I have heard of him. I was standing right behind him in the food line for the prerace supper and did not even know it. :)

  • Comments: An excellent locations, very picturesque. Good flat, fast course. The only thing is the elite athletes skew the results... so us mortals have a slower overall time. But it is nice to see the elites in person and racing !!

  • Comments: In spite of a few aches and pains, I had a blast and learned lots. :) Well run event, except for some line ups at the port-a-potties and a last minute change in package pickup location. Good food and lots of great volunteers. You may not need it, but bring mosquito repellent!
