  • Comments: This is a great race...it's just really competitive. For someone like me, this puts your ego squarely in check and makes you feel really bad! THOSE PEOPLE ARE FAST!

  • Comments: I like the big races. Riding on the bridge was great. Riding in the tunnel was a riot (never done that before). The little hill on run was hard on me but was fun. Noticed it was also hard on other runners. Loaded up on free stuff after the race and then re give most of it. Overall super fun!

  • Comments: This was a great way to introduce myself to the Tri. Also, having Eric as a guide was priceless.

  • Comments: I used to really like this race, but in recent years I have been disappointed with the organization. Here are the reasons it gets 3 stars: 1) The packet pickup the day before is too short, and if you show up after noon you might not get a T-shirt, even if you preregistered. If they don't at least set your shirt aside I don't see any incentive for someone to preregister. 2) The order of the waves makes no sense. Some slower waves go early, so my wave always has to do a lot of passing on a crowded course. Seafair attracts a lot of first-timers who don't know that they should ride on the right, so there are always close calls when trying to pass them at a high relative speed. 3) The size of some waves makes no sense. Many waves are 5-year age groups (e.g., men 30-34, women 25-29), but my wave is the gigantic and testosterone infused men 29-and-under wave. There are just too many people starting the swim in this wave, and I'm sure that's part of the reason the swim is always

  • Comments: I had a GREAT time! What a neat thing to do together. Roy has always been my BIGGEST supporter and I've really hoped he'd consider doing a triathlon some day. He has always resisted, but not today! Today he stepped up to the plate and he made me proud. More importantly, we made a wonderful memory together. We could dress up and go out to a fancy dinner and drop a lot of $$ on a load of calories but you know what? I'd rather don a wetsuit and running shoes and run across a finish line with my honey ANY day! Love isn't jewelry and 6 course dinners. Love is stepping outside of your comfort zone to do something that you're a little afraid of because you know it will make your wife happy. Roy showed me a LOT of love that day, as he does every day. I am so blessed.

  • Comments: Very big race, lots of competitors! I think they did a great job with the course safety and keeping things flowing. It never felt overcrowded.

  • Comments: Very organized both at expo and race day. Only complaint was that times took a day to post, which is slow if you ask me.
