  • Comments: Fun theme, well organized. Plenty of food and beverages at the finish. the volunteers were great. Plenty of aid stations and medics. I passed two guys down, one I was part of the holler back chain to the medic of the aid station, and the second was already being attended to when I passed. The response on both was very quick. Parking is a hassle, but they do a good job with the shuttles and off-site parking. Quality event. Looking forward to beating my time next year.

  • Comments: This Race to Robie Creek was another fantastic event with my family. I'll start with the two big highlights and then the "rest of the story". The first and biggest highlight is : My dad got 1st in his age group (70-74). We all were all so excited you would have thought there was a million dollar prize purse! For the last several years, he kept saying "All I've got to do is outlive the competition". This year he got to say "I've outlived the competition". If you saw him walking, you would never guess that he was a runner. He has a bum knee that barely bends. He walks with a distinct limp and a shuffle. But every year he vows to return to Robie. After this race his knee was easily three times it's normal size, it was "a little swollen" as he cheerfully put it. Boise Hashhouse Harriers (drinkers with a running problem) have an aid station just before the summit. It is stocked with beer, scotch whiskey, tequila, HoHos, and cigars. Not a drop of water, bananas, or orange slice

  • Comments: What a fun and painful race. I am still amazed that I have now done this race 2 times. It is one of the hardest races in the northwest, with 2500' gain and 1500' lose it is a beast. I need to some time show up to it and be ready for it.

  • Comments: After several Robie's under my belt-I'm getting a bit weary of the registration process and 'hype' of the event. Not a scenic course at all. Too many out of shape walker-gabbers that start WAY to far in the front. I like Zeitgeist 1/2 in the fall, better.

  • Comments: Amazing, Amazing, Amazing race. There were so many people volunteering and a lot of water stations and the food at the end is awesome. The only down side to this race is the registration process. It was all on line and http://www.athleteslounge.com/ was not ready and able to handle all the people trying to register for the race. The servers were down most of the day and I didn’t get registered until 11:30pm and it sold out by the next morning.
