  • Comments: This was a great race! It was extremely organized and well run. The post race activities were fantastic...the finish is right on the water, there are a lot of vendors and they proceed you through the finish line area with efficiency (medal, blanket, picture, food, morning clothes bag). The point-to-point race wasn't an issue as they had a ton of school buses to shuttle people after the race. The expo was very organized and really good. I liked they had pacers for both the half and the full. I would definitely do this race again and highly recommend it.

  • Comments: This race is very organized. It has a 'small town feel' which I liked a lot. On the days leading up to the race, the race director would write emails to the articipants with updates and tips and made the whole experience very personal and enjoyable. The only problem was an accident on the way of the shuttle route that took participants from a parking lot to the start of the race. Thus, the race was delayed almost half an hour (more time for the port-a-potties!)

  • Comments: I know they can't control the weather, but all the facilities they used were just not sufficient for the number of runners and the weather made it much much worse. Almost nothing going on post-race, which was a bit disappointing for such a large race.

  • Comments: Volunteers are visible from every turn and every street. Water stations are plentiful, however, the volunteers could have spreaded out more to prevent any cross grabs for us people running fast in packs. Finishers hats and tech long sleeves are great!

  • Comments: Good race, flat fast. Small race expo, not much going on at the site afterwards, started cleaning up the course an hour before the event was over.

  • Comments: It had its strong and weak points. This was my first marathon so I can't compare it to anything, I can only make observations. Support for the marathoners died down significantly at the 13.1 mark. As I started loop 2 I didn't know where to go. The boardwalk was packed with 1/2ers and all the spectaters, there was no clear course for the next 1/2 mile or so. Also when I was nearing the last few miles, some of the cones were being removed from the intersections (There was still over an hour left in the race) so mentally that was a challenge. Nothing like feeling that you're going to be left out on your own because of being slow. Anf finally at the last sugary food station I heard one volunteer say something to the effect of "these people coming through now are just walking". Man did that piss me off. I came back with "at this point we're surviving". I may have been slow but at no time did I stop. Last week I was afraid I would get pulled from the course, instead I did it with over
