  • Comments: Good first time race. Good and helpful volunteers and crowd support, but it was quiet towards the end. Food was pizza, and they ended up running out. All in all, it was a great race. One i'll prolly do again

  • Comments: After the race I waited by the finish line to watch people come in as we all waited for the transition area to open up. When it was finally opened, I gathered my stuff and went home. I didn't think to say for the award ceremony since I was a little down about my swim and run, but it turned out I placed 3rd out of all the first timers! So I got to go pick up a nice little trophy from tri-on-the-run! It was much harder than I had expected, but I am looking forward to my next one in the beginning of august.

  • Comments: Good race for a first timer. By the time I was finished, though, the preferred pizza varieties were gone, as were the beer cups and most of the beer. Guess I need to learn to swim faster.

  • Comments: I liked this race. It was a good one to push and see how I'd done thus far. It made me also realize that I am definately not out there to win. I don't compare myself to others like I used to. I guess I'm just not as competetive as I used to be- a blessing? Maybe that's because I know where my limits are more these days. I'm out to have more fun and be there for others while staying in shape. Don't get me wrong, I still want to do well, but I'll be the judge of where that is, thank you!

  • Comments: I always like this race. Can't beat pizza and beer. Yet I was so hot I could not get the pizza in.

  • Overall course based on my ability: Too easy

  • Comments: This is a nice little race and worth doing. It's a great race for kids wanting to move from kid's races to adult races. The course is very flat and very easy. In fact, this was the perfect race for me in the middle of my recovery from back and hip issues. I didn't have to push at all and the lack of climbing saved my back. One minor complaint I have is not really about the race but the timing company. Atomic Racing Systems didn't post preliminary results until just before transition opened to get your stuff. It was too crowded to wait to see if I placed high enough to warrant staying any later. For out of town people, this is an issue. Also, race results were not posted online until 1pm the next day. In today's world of technology, this is just too long. Otherwise, the race is worth the effort. I would love to come back with my 11 year old and see her do this one as her first "adult" triathlon.
