• Comments: A good race given my condition. I actually ended up 2nd in my age group. Medals go to top 3 in each 5 year age bracket. I did well enough on the swim and bike, there was too much to make up for anyone else in my AG to catch me. But looking at my time, averaging 7:52 miles, it wasn't exactly a stacked field in my age group either. I can see a few 44 year olds with some speed will be moving up to my age group next year, I will have to step up my game to stay on the podium. Our relay team got 5th place in our division. When the meet points were tallied up we finished 4th in our division out of 21 companies. It was a good day for us points wise.

• Comments: Another great race, much to the efforts of Johnson County Parks and Recs crew! I think there were over 900 people on the course which is a record I believe. It as a little crowded on the bike course at times but most people showed respect to others and stayed to the right to allow fasters riders to go through.

• Comments: I thought the race was run well. Directions were easy to follow and clear. Race also featured every skill level. Winners went slightly above 45 minutes, and on the other end, there may be some people still on the course. Personal overall race comments: While I had lofty goals, and in other areas I rated this race a disappointment, this was only my second triathlon, the first only 3 weeks ago. I considered it a disappointment because I didn't achieve the goals I envisioned myself getting, no matter how lofty they were. However, overall, I am very pleased with this race. Getting up at 430am to do something grueling is not anything I've done in 15 years. I'm excited to do it again. This course was short on paper, but much more difficult (my opinion) than the 5150 course I did. I burned 4000 calories before half of the city even knew the sun was up. Just about everyone that passed me offered encouragement, and I did the same for everyone I passed, because we all knew that no matter

• Comments: For as short a race as this was, it was pretty tough. I gave it my best and am happy with the results. I finished 8th (my lucky number) out of 141 women overall, and I'm not sure if they are doing 5-year or 10-year age groups for this race, but I'll be either 3rd or 4th in my age group, whichever it is. Although I didn't do any better this year in age group placing (got 3rd place last year), I improved my time 2 minutes over last year, and that was my main goal, so I'm very happy with how this race went.

• Comments: It's been a couple years since I did a sprint tri. I ended up picking this over IMKS 70.3 (held the same day) because this one was free through work, and KS was $250. The IM Corp has enough of my money already! Despite not really wanting to do the race (almost everyone I talked to this morning has been hoping it would be stormed-out), I ended up having a good time. It's actually nice to go balls-out at a sprint. Maybe next year I'll do some more of these instead of the long distance races. Anyway, it was fun, and I picked up some points in the KCCC for my company, so it was a good thing to do.

• Comments: Can't compare this to any other Tri since it was my first one. But if triathlons in general are like this I'm hooked. What a rush! Now I see why people do these.

• Comments: It's the corporate challenge, so it's a nice, relaxing atmosphere where people are having fun. Several of the first swim waves were late as they waited for stragglers to get to the beach, heard the du was late too. Still, had a good time, got to meet some new people and see some old friends at the same time.
