  • Comments: Really like this race. Shirts are the best, and post race has lots of vendors. Lots of cake balls this year to tempt us!

  • Comments: Rated it an average because of the terrible condition of the path. Parts were muddy but that is nobodies fault. But the cracks and unevenness of the trail could cause some injuries.

  • Comments: The race itself wasn't bad. I wasn't too happy about getting to one of the offsite parking spots and then it was full - but the person directing the traffic had no clue how to get to the other parking lots. The course was ok - it was accurate (my garmin showed an extra 0.07 miles which I can easily attribute to not running tangents carefully) but there were some sections that were pretty muddy and slippery because of the previous night's rain storm. My biggest disappointment was the lack of fanfare at the finish. Considering this was a big race - you'd think there would be an announcer and music to liven up the mood. The band on course was pretty cool though. Afterwards, the live band entertainment and the food was great. Had some pasta, cookies, yogurt, and an apple. They ran out of pizza pretty quick though.

  • Comments: This is my 3rd time doing this race and it is consistently well done. Shuttle busses from remote parking lots work really well to minimize traffic. Like the setting, and the shirts are the BEST! Enough water stations (not that I used them), and post race music and food is plentiful and good. Parts of the course are a bit narrow, but not much can be done about that.

  • Comments: I love this race and I love this course. It has easy and challenging elements. It is always well run with tons of terrific volunteers. Plus, you can't beat the location at the Arboretum when their fall festival kicks off with pumpkin houses.

  • Comments: This is a really nice event. It's at the Dallas Arboretum. The venue is beautiful - along the lake and at the arboretum. Highly recommended. After the race we walked around the grounds of the arboretum. Also listened to the band that was playing at the post race party. Lots of vendors with food samples. Great event.

  • Comments: I love this race. The Arboretum is a fantastic location and it always has its fall exhibit on full display. It's a well-run race with fantastic volunteers. I recommend this race to everybody.

  • Comments: This is my favorite running race. The post race party is awesome - band, food, stroll around the arboretum. Fantastic race venue and a beautiful course. I'd like to run the 20k some day (there is a 10k and a 20k race).

  • Comments: I was subbing in for my dad who suffered a hamstring injury at the last minute. Wasn't expecting to run 10k and wasn't fully trained to do it, plus the 4 hours of sleep on top of my watch being dead unbeknownst to me, I think I did okay. The parking at the beginning was a bit of a cluster... but we made it ok and I got my bib and t-shirt.

  • Comments: This is a very well-organized race. Lots of volunteers, plenty of aid stations and the race coordinators and race director was very helpful. If I'm ever in this area again, I would totally do this race again. It was lots of fun!
