Run
Comments: My goal was to run how I felt, with a sub 2-hour time in the back of my mind. As the race started my legs were feeling good and my pace was nice and solid. The first 10 miles of the course are rolling hills with long downhill segments as we descend towards the Pacific ocean. On the up-hills I was able to push a good pace and let gravity aid me on the descents. At the halfway point my time was around 53:00 and I was feeling good about my goal. When I hit mile 10 I was at about 1:27, meaning I could ease off for the last 3 miles but I kept my steady pace. The last mile I pushed a bit harder and finished strong. What would you do differently?: Not much, great race. Post race
Warm down: Stretched my legs and iced my heel. Event comments: Great way to finish off the year. Last updated: 2015-01-02 12:00 AM
