Swim
Comments: disappointed in that there were a few errors; started too quickly; had to stop to let someone swim past me to the right going off course, got a lot of contact but held in together, jammed rounding the first buoy, started too quickly and pushed it too early, had to stop again after drinking water What would you do differently?: start slower, start more right Transition 1
Comments: solid; 2/8 AG What would you do differently?: zip Bike
Comments: happy with the result; fastest 2 looper and I became the 'local legend' haha What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Comments: was a bit slow on this, must go with pace! What would you do differently?: pick it up! Run
Comments: started slow and tried to pick it up; those hills were tough; Mike came flying by me at the very end and tapped my shoulder as he sprinted off the the finish What would you do differently?: not be injured Post race
Warm down: just rested and listened to everyone's story of their experience; Denise was excited and talkative, Mike blew by me on the last part of the run and finished 13th. It was a great day but Denise was the highlight with a first completed triathlon! She talked about so many different parts of the race-just like a triathlete. I'm happy for her and really proud that she did it. https://laketerramuggussprinttriathlon2.itsyourrace.com/Results.aspx... What limited your ability to perform faster: heel injury, lack of training, heat Event comments: Matt does a terrific job on this! I love coming and being challenged. Multiple events throughout the summer. Thurs eve is a challenge with work, and it is always HOT. Sort of wish this was USAT race. Last updated: 2022-06-01 12:00 AM

Overall Rank = 15/80
Age Group = M60-64
Age Group Rank = 2/8
Usual routine-but odd because it's an evening race; came home from work and packed up the truck after checking all the lists; drove to the venue with plenty of time, picked up registrations for me and Denise (first tri!) and saw Mike who was also doing the race, set up transition
did 10 minutes of a warmup swim; really need 15-20 minutes to get comfortable, wore the vortex LG wetsuit so I didn't feel constricted at all, tinted goggles a must for this course
