So, I was burnt out, then I fell and scraped my leg. Now it's infected, I'm on oral and topical antibiotics, I can't train for 2 weeks, and gosh - Muskoka 70.3 is a week Sunday. I will do the race, screw the doctor, but I'm not one of the blessed and I already have to be concerned with the cut-offs so, this just adds a little more tension to the whole exercise.

The infection explains why I've been so tired and weepy for a couple days. Having a real pity party today but I should close that bar up, pour out the drinks and go home I think.

Change your panties and HTFU!

3 days before my first HIM, I went face first over my handlebars at 16mph.  6 stitches, a mild shoulder separation, some road rash, and I STILL raced.

No problem.....in all seriousness......take a second, breathe deep and keep moving forward! It is what it is and the measure of the person is how they weather through those storms!!

I couldn't resist. Just keep the areas clean and dry if you can.
