I just broke my collar bone!

I had a fractured collarbone and it hurt too much to swim or bike.

Major suckage...I am sorry.    

Been there before, snapped my colarbone on a tree while sledding, the xray looked like a "^", give it a couple of weeks it will start feeling better.  Good luck!

That sucks! I crashed and broke my shoulder last August so I can relate. After two weeks I did learn to swim with one arm and did that for a month or so, but I think you should wait until the bone has healed a bit. Hope the bike is ok and the rest of you is ok. Heal up quickly!

There are a few BTers I recall who have done Ironman races with broken collarbones.

thanks for the support guys. CR1 tire is busted, but (hopefully) from my initial exam the frame is all ok. I've got a follow up monday... said i snapped the end completely off... I will be honest i was just glad i didnt dislocate my shoulder

i fractured my collar bone snow boarding in college 7 or 8 years ago.  it was easily the most painful thing i've ever been through.  recovery was also terrible, second only to being on crutches for six weeks after a knee scope.  i hate hurting myself, but i'm so good at it .

ouch, what bad luck - glad the bike is ok.  Heal well and fast.
