Unfortunately my training was cut short. I was hit by a car Thursday on my bike. I have a broken elbow and some road rash. I am pretty lucky but I just wish people would pay more attention in cars.

Very sorry to hear that, BUT the most important thing is that you are still here. There has been way too many riders hit this year. I'm glad you're ok.

Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear this!!! I'm glad you are okay, well considering the other alternatives. It's scary out there on the bike. It's the thing that holds me back training on the bike. I am often terrified and it's exhausting. Heal up and take care. Do what the docs say so you heal the right way - don't rush it. There's always next season.Hang in there!!

Glad to hear you're ok.  I hope they stopped to help at least.  That's my concern since I started cycling.  One car not paying attention while driving.

Its a long story but I was in a crosswalk w/ hte walk signal, the light was red and when I looked the car was slowing down. However, he did not slow down all the way and ran right in to me. I was riding my bike through the crosswalk (Which I just found out was illegal). I was also told that I was not allowed to ride on the bike path in dublin (not sure about that one). A police report was filed but no one was cited that I am aware of. It just sucks because my bike is shot, my elbow is busted, wrist is swollen, right shoulder hurts and the road rash is awful LOL. It is gonna be a long winter. I plan on hitting the stationary bike as soon as my leg heals.

Very unfortunate story.  I am glad your going to be fine though.  Very odd about no the bikes on the path information.
