i don't live in austin, but whenever i search for tri's it seems like everything is there! they also have a great cycling community, including the annual "Austin Naked Ride" where women ride topless.

if you didn't know women are allowed to be topless in austin city limits. show you junk though and its a trip the big house.

The same thing can be said about Vancouver. Doesn't every city have a naked bike ride.

We just can't tri topless.

Kingston Ontario has a wonderful tri every summer.  Where else do you get to hop on a double decker tour boat for a scenic view of the historical city (on Lake Ontario) while being taken to the start line?  Calms those pre-race jitters right down- until you have to jump off the boat   Nothing is more entertaining than treading water at the start line while watching a bunch of wetsuits and swimcaps jumping off the boat like the Titanic movie.

Nice temps here in August (water and air!).  Nice clean fresh water to swim in .  Nice bike course.  And you get to run past lots of historical buildings and along the lake.

And that's my two Canadian cents...

The best city is clearly right here in New Orleans. We have the best swimming trails of anybody short of Venice.

Venice, Italy that is. Anybody from Louisiana would get this.
