Lob City!

Not sure it is the dunk of the Year, but is demolished that poor guard trying to defend the rim!

I thought it was a jump out of your seat dunk.  I admit to watching it about 8 times after they showed it on the beginning of sportscenter.  But I'm not even sure it's a lock for dunk of the year.  I know Blake had a few dunks this year that were pretty crazy.  Especially that one where he changed to his left hand.

I watched SC this morning and they went through a rundown of the top 10 poster dunks of all time.  I was surprised that Deandre Jordan's dunk was #6, and Griffen wasn't even on the list.  VC's dunk over the 7 footer was #1, which I agree with, but there are at least 3 Griffen dunks (Mosgov, Gasol, Perkins) that were far better...especially since they were over guys that actually make their money in the paint...not some point guard that just got in the way.

I still say one of the best poster dunks I've seen live (on TV, but while actually watching the game, not a highlight) was Kevin Johnson over Hakeem.  At that point I didn't even know KJ could dunk...so it totally caught me off guard.  It's one thing when Griffen gets a poster dunk because you can see it coming from a mile away...but that KJ dunk totally floored me.

Vince Carter in the Olympics jumps OVER 7-2" guy.

I hate it, but Starks dunks over Jordan and Grant was impressive.

I've got mad respect for people that can dunk on someone.  I know it sounds strange but I've played college hoops and dunked on people several times.  And it's AMAZING how little effort it takes from a defender to throw off a dunk.  To be able to power through it is tough.  I do realize that you're talking a big man vs a guard...but you'd be surprised how little it takes to stop a dunk.

Did you see what Brandon Knight tweeted in response to the dunk? "It wasn't in the scouting reports that the clippers threw lobs lol."
