He's like Survivorman... except naked...  And he's spending 60 days on the island vs 6 (or 10) for Survivorman.

I saw the first 2 episodes and he's already starting to lose it.  60 day alone, with supplies, would be tough mentally.  I cannot imagine how tough this would be.

(ETA: the best part about this show is that when it returns from commercial (that you skipped with your DVR) it doesn't spend 5 mins reviewing what you JUST SAW 5 seconds ago...Dang that annoys me...)

I think it's a great show, his roller coaster of emotions is pretty interesting to watch.

I think he's coped remarkably well.

(did you see the size of the land crab? man that thing looked like it could eat him!!)

I got caught up in it last night...  The only part I dont get is if he new he was there for 60 days, why start a shelter that takes so long to build?   I guess he didnt know going into the build, but at some point I would have thrown in that towel and been happy in my cave.

Give him something to do that would keep his mind engaged???  That's a big part of survival school training is try to find a task to keep yourself focused.

This show has me interested...I'll have to look it up.

At one point he mentioned the monsoon season would be starting soon and the cave would leave him too exposed.  Also as mentioned above, it gives you something to do.  Can you imagine how bored you'd get just sitting there (despite how tired he got making the shelter).

I'm a bit surprised it took 9 days to make a fire but then I could see after trying for a few hours each day you'd be disgusted and just give up for the day.

One of the more realistic portrayals of what it really takes to survive that I've seen so far.

When I first saw the previews for this show I though... no freaking way will I watch that. However I was sucked into it the other night when they showed the first few episodes leading up to the newest one. I can't imagine the feeling of dread being dropped off on an island with... nothing. Sure, he has a medical kit and can call for assistance, but that is a last resort. He has nothing. I actually enjoy the show and find it funny how he gets SO EXCITED over stuff we take for granted. He was almost in tears when he caught a fish, one fish. At first I thought there was no way he would make it, he got off to a rough start, but seems to be getting into a routine and adjusting.

Isn't that show already over?  I thought I saw a show for day 60.  Or do they drop the naked guy off at different places for 60 days?

Several days per episode.  I think it's only 4-5 episodes long maybe?
