Subject: I FOUND A BIKE!!!!!

Sweet jeebus, i finally found a bike I could afford, that fits and is in AMAZING shape... and I have a few weeks left to get comfortable on it before Woodstock.  Transitioning from a 25 year old rusty mountain bike weighing in at about 30 lbs to a sweet little mid-80s (we think) Miele that I can easily pick up with one hand.  Did a short little test ride and just cruised up this big hill with relatively little effort.  It looks like its new on the showroom floor... not a chip, no rust, no scratches, nothing.  Although I would love a blue bike, this one is a cheery fire engine red

I pick it up tomorrow night.  Got some learning to do getting comfortable on it for sure, but fortunately there's time.

What should I name it??!?!  :D :D :D

A new wetsuit and a new bike - Watch out Woodstock!!!

Make sure not to use new shoes for a race though...

Whoop! Went for a spin around th block tonight... gotta play around with seat and such, but otherwise, felt not too bad for something COMPLETELY different!  Those shifters are going to take some time to be able to find... lol!  Sadly there will be no wetsuit for this gal... going to just have to rely on my ample winter padding and a solid warmup!

My first road bike was a mid 80's Miele Uno... in sparkling "champagne" gold.

Going down memory lane - Peugeot Super Sport and Marinoni were my race bikes from 1984-1989. All blue and yellow for me.HAPPY TRAINING EVERYONE

I bought almost that exact bike for my wife - but in green.  Had to take it all apart and clean off the 20 years of rust, but it came out not too shabby.

Awesome!  I'm really enjoying it so far and best part was that it didn't break the bank :D  hope she likes it too!
