I see if Phelps is going to live up to the hype. Man Phelps, Thorpe, I don't know what I"m going to do with myself. I love the swimming events in the Olympics. Been watching them since I was a kid. And Phelps is just a crazy phenom. I mean he's broken more than four world records in every other event but the Olympics. He's going for eight golds. Whew. Man, eight golds. That would beat Spitz's seven. Wow. Can't wait. Can't wait. Can't wait. Woooo Doggies. We're cooking now.

I'm pretty psyched too!  Opening ceremonies tonight, right?

And Lara, not only do I not have TiVo, I don't even have cable!  Hopefully most of the stuff I want to see will be on the regular network.

If you go to NBC's Olympics website, unfortunately you'll see that a lot of the events are being split up between the NBC network stations, most of which are cable (CNBC, MSNBC, USA and Bravo).

The only event that matters to me (swimming) are on primetime on NBC on Saturday and Sunday.

But I have the saddest story to tell...

Not only do I not have TiVo (shocked!), I have no cable. Not only do I not have cable, but I HAVE NO NBC!!

Isn't it the most tragic thing you've ever heard??!!?

When NBC 'switched over' they moved their affiliate down to San Jose, and I can't get it with my antenna anymore. I live in this TV wasteland now... sigh!

Regardless, I'm so excited!! Can hardly wait! Mooching at a friends house to watch the opening ceremonies.

Don't leave the television too early if you are watching on delay. The US contingent comes in early as a result of the use of the Greek alphabet - USA is 56th in out of the 202 nations.
