Everyone seems to like the Adamo, but I was afraid the nose was too wide for me.

I have a racerX I think.

Saddles are all about what works for you...you may have to try a couple. Go to
a bike store that will let you try them for a week and exchange.

My problem was my saddle was fine until ~60 miles. Once I went over 60, things
got magically bad.

I squeeze the nose of mine in with a zip tiepulling the rails together.

I bought one from Focus that was a demo saddle and the nose of it had been squeezed together. I love mine and will likely buy anouther one for the next bike I buy.

Mel, keep your eye on the classified section of the forum here and at slowtwitch. You can usually find one for pretty cheap.

Depends on your comfort level and price point. My most comfortable saddle was a leather one that took me about a month to break in, basically a chunk of leather over a steel frame.

A lot of tri riders really like the adamo saddles, john cobb has a new one out that is supposed to be pretty nice, and I like the Specialized saddles. Find a store that will let you try them out, and see what feels best for you.

I got the Fizik Arione TRI 2 from Bonktown.com. It was a little spendy, but it's been great for my bottom.

I think zip tieing the nose of the adamo is funny.

It turns the open ended adamo into a channelled seat.

I also think that being spendy on a saddle is one of the best places
to be spendy on, but that is only because I like my "private parts".

They don't zip tie it THAT much. It's hardly noticeable to the eye.  ...but garbage can tell the difference of a few millimeters.

My front two "arms" don't touch in the front. That would eliminate the whole point of having it. It just pulls them in a little bit. Can't even see the zip tie under the seat.
