Subject: Milton Keynes
Anyone living near Milton Keynes, and interested in doing some training sessions together??Beware, I have only just started my training, and during the week I am working out at 6am, but I should be okay for the weekends. My initial main focus, is using a bike on the road again (that has been a long time ago), and increasing my running performance (I have only started "running" (that is an overstatement, should be called moving at a faster pace in my case) 4 days ago, and just completed the 2k (which took me 15 minutes ).But if you can live with that, let me know.

Sorry. Don't live near Milton Keynes and I doubt you'll find many on BT that do, as they are mostly Americans.

Go to:

http://www.tritalk.co.uk/forums/

to find more fellow UK based triathletes,

or

http://www.teammk.com/

which is the Milton Keynes Tri Club.

Good luck with the training.

Hi there.

I'm in Northampton there is at least one other person in the MK area see routes for his user name and where he runs. depending on my work shifts I'm sure we could meet up some time for a ride sometime.

Hi, I'm High Wycombe way so not far! I like you have just started training - but booked my self in on the North West Triathlon (500m, 20km, 5km) in order to give myself a boost - quite scary as I've never entered anything before.

Swimming, I'm better than I thought because I did 500m today to see where I was at and I did it in 15mins.

I haven't been on a bike in years however I used to do it a lot, I'm just on the look out for a bike at the moment so no idea where I am on that!

Running, I always said I would never run, hate running however I need to do it lol I am doing 5km on the Treadmill Tuesday night so I will tell you how I am!

Hi I am in MK, although I have just started to train, I am doing this for Motor Neurone Disease research, as my brother in law suffers from it.

I am looking to enter the London Triathlon, looking to do the sprint, however i would like to find a short sprint in April to get me into it, I will be looking for some 5k runs as well.

I'm overweight and out of shape so this is a big challenge for me.

Another from MK here, I'm unfit and overweight, but I like a challange.

Hoping to pick a bike up sometime soon, and get a Sprint tri booked for sometime towards the end of summer early Setptember.

If you dont mind a bit of travelling you could do my clubs charity sprint race in Maldon Essex.

Its a great event and a fantastic course that has quiet roads and a run round the park by the river. If you have family they can sit in the park and the kids can play on the pirate ship, splash park or on the skateboard ramps if they are older. Its in September and on Entrycentral.

Gonna fly over from Georgia and do Cowman in July. Any advice on where to send my bike to or where to hire one? I prefer a shop to receive it. Contact info would be great.

Also, would be glad to hear about Cowman as a race, support, etc! Thanks in advance.
