Nothing quite like a complete case of writer's block to really make you feel good about resurrecting your college career...

This dang 500-700 word essay may be the beginning and end of it all if I can't get some actual words on the page here soon.

Doesn't help that the "draft" we turned in last week isn't my version of a draft, so there is still a decent leap between "draft" and "final version".

Prof's "draft" = I'd say more of a scratch outline...
Prof's "scratch outline" = things I'd write on napkins in bars and try to later figure out why it's in my wallet and whose phone number is that anyway?

At least it's not due tomorrow.

I've already got the beer. The hope is that it will work like it did in college by removing all self editing tendencies so I can just get a boatload of stuff on paper, and then whittle it down to something manageable later.

remminds me of an english class, we had to write 1000 words on a "personal challange" we have faced. the night before i had changed ideas 6 times, and kept getting stuck. so i smoked a cigarette (not condoning this) and then it hit me, i wrote it on the challange i had on writing the essay. i covered all my 6 topics and were they went wrong. i got an A.

the next best essay i wrote in that class was writing a paper on a word or term and FULLY explaining ALL of its conotative and denotive meanings. i went for the best word "f#$k." i got an A on that too. i think the teacher liked my straight up riskyness.

on both had a had a teacher with a limmited view i would have been up a river.

if it makes YOU feel anybetter i am working on a paper/presentation outlining the accounting irregularities commited by AIG, how and what was done, and weather of not the internal controls and/or auditers were decived, and in which way. Did the auditors fail to do their job properly, or were they manipulated, if so; what typs of reforms need to happen. Then present my paper in a presentation to (not my professor) but an independant panel or accounting professionals (profs "freinds"). of which there will MOST LIKELY be the four main firms represented. crash and burn, and i will make less out of the gate, or not get an offer.

ugh.

to think I was complaining about having to write a 20 pager on the applications of neural network processing with regard to data in uncommon domains last semester.

Altho after staying up all night writing that paper, the next day i did a swim-run brick and set a PR for 7 miles.

Wow, that does not sound like fun. (Also a good reminder why I don't do accounting for a living anymore!)

What's the topic?  Maybe you can hold a contest and trick everyone here into writing your paper for you.   That's what I would try anyway.

I’ve written that paper too. Too bad that it was about 4.5 years ago and I wasn’t into tri training then.
