This week ...

  • My husband and I bought our first ever car! It's a lot of money but i think we'll be happy with it and we stayed within our budget and thought about our needs
  • Good performance review at work - my manager actually was talking about how they wish they could keep me longer (but the baby is coming and i am definitely taking my leave)
  • My husband has some excellent job prospects and has received a bunch of validation for the hard work he's put in at his job over the last while.  It makes him happy and excited and that makes me happy to see him that way
  • Our dog got a new toy that she won't put down. It's ridiculously cute - she's 9 but still has the energy of a much younger dog
  • Pregnancy is still going well - feel good and still mostly energetic.

* My wife is back in town! Missed her while she was in Illinois.

* My daughter had a recognition assembly/ceremony on Wednesday night for Honor Roll. So proud of her!

* Gonna get my bike frame to the powder coater tonight. It should be ready to start building up next week.

* Had my first workout with the Rock Steady youth triathlon team on Monday. While I've figured out I'm a bit of a slow starter as a leader for a spin bike session, I learned a lot, and next Monday should be better.

congratz to you sir! My mom has cancer and im hoping to get the same news soon.

I passed a major test required for my programming certification today. I finished with so much time to spare I made a presentation out of it.

I squatted 420x3 and am well on the road to 500 (trying to set the state record next year of 540).

  • Our septic system passed inspection (we were expecting to have to replace two tanks to the tune of $7k, so this is HUGE!)
  • Buyers want to move our closing day up, yay!

~I had an excellent score from an audit thingy at work that bagged me $100 cash

~I kept up with a 6 mile group run paced at 7:45 min/miles after 90 minutes of hill work on the bike

~Found out the teeth pain that I expected to be an absess leading to root canal and crown making my wallet choke is simply from clenching my teeth

My 17 year old son has his first art house exhibit today. He competed with 1200 entries. Not only was his art one of 60 selected for display, he was one of only 4 to get honorable mention and a cash award!

  • After 3 days of pain - finally feeling better.  Might have something to do with the Codeine/Red Wine cocktail I enjoyed tonight!
