Does anybody know whether B2B HIM normally sells out.  I'm considering it, but don't want to commit financially until August or even September.

I don't believe so.  I did it in 2010 and I don't think it was sold out.

It sold out in 2012.  I got in really late and had to pay extra for a "charity slot".

I don't recall exactly when I registered for 2012 but it wasn't until at least late June. But is gaining a great reputation quickly and as a destination for family vacations at the beach (if you don't mind missing school) it is an attractive venue.mso it could start selling out sooner.

It isn't exactly a HIM, but an option closer to you (and me) in late September is the Skipjack at the Chesapeakeman Endurance Fesitvla weekend in Cambridge MD. It's a longer bike, shorter run. Good for us super clydes. Flat course like B2B. A small production compared to B2B but well-run from all indications.

I'd really like to get B2B in particular.  It's only an hour away from where my Mom lives and she won't have many more opportunities to come to one of my races.  But she's a 75 yr old diabetic amputee who needs a wheelchair to get around.  Is the venue "friendly" enough for her.

Get a hotel downtown and she can get to a good spot for the run pretty easily.  Hilton or the Coastal are on run route and the finish line is just a couple of blocks from there with decent sidewalks.

It sold out last year in August I believe when the price was about to go up for the last time.

The finish line is downtown which I am sure is up to all accessibility codes, but I seem to recall some cobblestone streets and definitely some steep parts. But from the convention center and oarking area to the finish, I think it was all very flat. There's the waterfront park-like area. I think it would work well.

Sounds to me like you're ready to register.
