At your request, we are now working with Fitness Syncer to sync with more devices and workout logging platforms. Would you help us out by trying it and providing feedback here, before we recommend Fitness Syncer as part of our user onboarding and support? |

Master 9705 Raleigh, NC area | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! I've gone back and forth with the FitnessSyncer folks and my Zwift rides are still not coming over to BT. They said, "That is because neither of those have extended analytics and currently BT requires that – the data for those would have had to come in via the Garmin Connect (Sports). I'll reach out to BT and see if they have an alternative for these activities or not." |

Master 9705 Raleigh, NC area | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! Are we supposed to be able to get our Sufferfest, Zwift, TrainerRoad, etc. workouts out of FitnessSyncer and into BT? If so, do you have suggestions on how the best approach to get that to happen? |

Veteran 265 Fort Wayne, Indiana | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! We are still working with FitnessSyncer to increase the types of data that can be transferred, I believe they may have been waiting on additional information from us with regards to the services you mention. I can't promise anything, but I suspect that data will by synced soon. The situation as I understand it is that we're syncing device upload files OK, but in cases where they only had summary data, there was no good way for them to upload that data to BT. I sent that information over this afternoon, but give us a bit of time to implement and work out any integration issues. Thanks |

Veteran 265 Fort Wayne, Indiana | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! I've received word from FitnessSyncer that they should now be able to handle summary data. I'm quite impressed how fast they were able to implement that. If there's still something that isn't syncing quite right, just let one of our ends know and we'll get it straightened out.

Master 6834 Englewood, Florida | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! My bike activity from 01/05 did not sync to BT, although Fitness Tracker showed it as being successful. I tried the "Synchronize this task now" button and it now shows as "Sync Queued". I'm also going to contact Fitness Tracker about this. |

FWIW, it took about 12 hours for FitnessSyncer to sort through all of my Strava data for the first time. More or less instant after that though. Edited by jmkizer 2020-01-06 7:15 AM |

Master 2210 Columbus, Ohio Coaching member | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! Emails are flying back and forth between us and FitnessSyncer. There were some classifications (Sports and Strength) that weren't clear in the coding and that's being straightened out. Also some time zone issues. It's going well. Thanks for continuing to be the early adopters and trouble shooting and reporting accurately. It's helping! We're getting there! |

I certainly appreciate the continued attention of both the developers here at BT and those at FitnessSyncer. It looks like my morning yoga routine *tried* to come into BT but didn't quite make it. I'll leave that for now so that you can see what happened. My runs continue to be MIA. |

Master 6834 Englewood, Florida | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! Again I have a bike ride in Fitness Syncer that claims to have sync'd, but it is not shown in BT. It has been a couple of hours, should I just wait a bit more or should I try syncing it again? Thanks, Chris |

Master 6834 Englewood, Florida | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! I use a Giant NeosTrack which sync's with Strava, which sync's thruogh Fitness Syncer to BT. This is only the second ride since setting up the sync, so I am still figuring things out. What I have noticed in those two times is that the sync wil not happen seamlessly. Fitness Syncer shows that it has sychronized, but nothing shows at BT. I need to log into Fitness Syncer and click the sync button in order for the synchronization to happen. I also need to figure out "moving time" vs "elapsed time" at some point, as it is sending "elapsed time" and I would prefer "moving time". I haven't inquired with FS on that yet, I'm going to finalize syncing before moving on to the next isue. Thanks for making this happen, Chris |

Master 2210 Columbus, Ohio Coaching member | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! Thanks for the detail. We can't make these things work without the support of you and the others on this thread helping us troubleshoot from different devices. I appreciate the information and we'll keep working on it. Elapsed vs Moving might be something we can switch on our end. It seems like we have traditionally imported the elapsed time, even directly from Garmin in our hand-built Garmin sync, even though it makes more sense to pull in the moving time. But some people might say elapsed time is the more "honest" data point to determine average speed. For example, if I go for a ride and I stop and rest and catch my breath, and then I eliminated the stopped time and only report moving time, my average speed is not a true reflection of my training, nor what I am capable of in a race. |

I'm hopeful that moving time can be pulled into BT. |

Thanks, I understand the "elapsed vs moving" time question. I think most systems use moving time, but that is merely one anecdotal data point. I do know that is what displays on my Strava. |

Master 9705 Raleigh, NC area | Subject: RE: Fitness Syncer now active for BT users! Strength continues to come into BT as Swim. Yesterday's Strength came in as today's Swim (for your references, it said "Imported from 4431217340") One my my Strength workouts that just imported as a Swim came in on Tuesday, January 7th but happened on Monday the 6th (Imported from 4408876027) Have you had a chance to take a look at what's going on with my yoga workout? If I don't hear back today, I will go ahead and remove it from my training log. Edited by jmkizer 2020-01-13 6:31 AM |
