Subject: RE: 60 degree race in the rain, what to wearI experienced my first rainy Sprint Tri Race last week. I did bring a few extra pieces of clothing (long Sleeve Under Armour Top ) that I might use on the bike or run. I didn't end up using it and was fine in the bike and run portion. The bike was very hilly and I just didn't notice the cold. I did bring extra socks for the bike as well as the run and did change into them in Transition. I used plastic bags with zippers (the kind you get when you purchase bedding or sheets ) these were very helpful see through bags to keep my running shoes, hat, socks and race belt dry when it rained during the bike; although I didn't zip the bags up I just closed the lid to provide some cover from the rain so I would have dry shoes and dry socks. Worked out well. Stick with what you would generally wear; unless it is unbearably cold. |
