Well go right ahead...Overheard on last night's group ride, after guy gets his second flat on the ride: girl: Listen, my house is literally right down this street. Follow me and I'll give you a loaner wheel. guy: Uh, I dunno. I have another tube. girl: Come on, it'll be so much faster than changing your flat here on the road. Just follow me to my house. guy: Uh...ok. Flat changing...the new pickup line! I seriously had to make a huge effort to not just bust out laughing at the conversation, which would have been totally inappropriate. |

She was on the ride though, and I asked her about it, but it seems like she missed the whole change a flat thing on BT, so she didn't think it was particularly funny. She's not a big fan of the girl involved, though... |

Sorry ya'll- I must have missewd the "changing a flat" thread but lucily run4yrlife explain it to me after the ride. LOL! This lady (who's married and let's you know EVERY time we ride that she used to race) kept insisting to this guy that she could loan him a spare wheel. I have never seen someone so persistent about helping out with a flat- now I know why! I am telling you- we have some interesting group rides. Oh yeah- not to mention a hot triathlete rode with us last night. I did have to ask run4yrlife to stop riding in front of me because he was blocking my view! Of course this hot guy wasn't from Augusta- he's visiting Augusta from NY on business, but it was a nice treat! I think he'll be riding with us more Edited by runnergirl28 2005-08-03 9:46 AM |
